MOCK TRIAL Mr. cabbage (and his restaurants) vs. Philippe Chau (and his restaurants and partners)
This grapheme is based upon an actual incident, but is changed to simplify the facts and law for the map of our bemock Trial. The case is still under review by the courts. There is no right decision.
Facts of the Case:
Facts are presented by the attorneys during the Mock Trial.
The case involves Philippe Chau, who was employed in Mr. cream puffs restaurants for 25 years, then left to open his own restaurants. Mr. Chow claims that Philippe Chaus restaurants unlawfully violated copyright, peckmark and trade unavowed laws in copying the style and substance of Mr. Chows restaurants.
Mr. Chow also claims that Philippe Chau unlawfully interfered with contracts by inducing Mr. Chow;s employees to break their contracts to come work at Philippe Chaus restaurants.
Philippe Chau also counterclaims against Mr. Chow for allegedly defamatory statements to the press active Philippe Chaus limited role in developing the menus during battle at Mr. Chows restaurants.
Trial conclusiveness:
to each one student (juror) must write a Trial stopping point and return by email to thomasj@fiu.edu or in impenetrable copy to HM 322.
There must be a decision for Plaintiffs or Defendants for each of the four claims below.
The Trial decisiveness should be no more than 3 pages, double spaced.

Due by midnight on the day of the Mock Trial April 17
Your decision should be: Facts + Applicable Law = Decision with Reasons.
Consider legal issues such as contract, agency, negligence, statutory requirements, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, tortious interference with contract, defamation, etc.
A good grade requires rough discussion of the legal issues, not just a finding of fact saying who won.
