Dave and Steve are employees at XYZ offer center they have been lending together for the last sestet months. Dave has been with the company for five years and has been a top performer within the organization. Hes a valued fraction of his team and the organization. He has a strong work moral principle and excellent communication skills. Dave and his team have been awarded numerous awards and bonuses passim Daves tenure. Steve comes from a competitor with high praise, good recommendations, and a shining resume. Steve has never had any issues with other coworkers or managers and has been a top performer during his time at XYZ.
This past Friday Steve tells Dave that hes leaving early without any reason and tells Dave to uphold the phones for him for the last two hours. Steve leaves quietly and in a haste without acknowledging any of his co-workers. Dave is spoil that he has to cover for Steve without any give explanation. Dave covers Steves phones for the day but is not happy with the situation.
Steve observes that Dave on the face of it had no problem covering the phones for him on Friday therefore he begins to take advantage of the situation by leaving work early on a more frequent basis.
all over the last couple weeks Steve progressively leaves earlier on for each one subsequent occasion. During this time period Dave becomes agitated with Steves style and the situation. Dave is having difficulty planning out his day and believes his productivity is declining. He believes the performance of the team has been degraded compared to other teams and decides to address Steve virtually his early departures. Steve tells Dave they will discuss the issue at subsequently time but continually avoids the discussion.
Dave comes to work a month later on a Monday morning already frustrated and decides he has had enough of the situation.
