My place is an chronicle of an aboriginal girl named Sally Morgan growing up in Perth, Australia. Though the story she experiences an inner journey and comes to term with whom she unfeignedly is and where shes from.
Growing up Sally in unmindful to the world around her and doesnt even realize she is indigen until one day her younger sister Jill clues her in. As amusing as ever Sally begins to question her hereditary pattern and sets step up on a quest to find herself and the secrets of her familys past.

She sets out to find herself and discovers her heritage and the hardships the Aboriginal people lived. From feeling so small and bewildered in her world, Sally finally finds a place where she belongs and squeeze out relate to, and happiness. She finds herself; her place.
The title My Place refers not to her physical photographic plate in Perth, but to the spiritual one she found up north, with people of her Aboriginal heritage. The one place that Sally Morgan felt as though she fitted into the puzzle of the world.
