1. I do believe that he is criticizing Christianity because when he witnessed his friend be relieve because he valued to get it over with he still waited for delivery boy and subsequently witnessing that and the f snatch that Jesus never showed up to him, it made him forecast Christianity in whether Jesus was real or not. He is criticizing the act of being saved by Jesus. The tradition of being saved never was passed down to him in his eyes so he came to the conclusion that Jesus does not exist.
2. Her style of speaking I believe is a lesser form of trying to move Langston that Jesus is here to save him. It shows that his aunt very a great deal believes in Christianity and Jesus and she makes Christianity a very big bureau of her life. Yes the reader can understand what the aunt is probably mentation about by looking at the way she is performing and the way she is taking Christianity expertly by showing that she wants Langston to be saved by Jesus with tears.
Other characters perceive that she is right about Christianity and that she has taken Jesus into her heart. Her actions show her personality. It shows that she is very serious about her beliefs whether it is Jesus or something else that she may believe in.
3. At first when the reader reads that first sentence he believes that the point will show how a young boy was fit to find peace with a religion, but after indication the story the reader realizes that when the boy says that he was being saturnine in a way because in reality he did not find peace with Christianity like everyone else in his church were able to.
4. Langston is the one who is criticizing Christianity, because he didnt see Jesus and he now does not believe in Christianity.
