After I saw the motion picture Crash, I cognize that in our lifestyle we are exposed to stereotype in one focal point or an opposite, voluntary or automatic. I understand stereotyping is a classification that familiarity makes about other people, we classify people based on the knowledge and get wind that we have about something or someone; it depends on how we farm up and which values we choose for our lives. In addition, I believe, the legal age group creates stereotypes because they tend to label minorities. To Illustrate, majorities may catalogue communities for the track they look, race, the language that they speak, and their religious beliefs. Even if we try to avoid stereotyping it is unachievable in the world that we live in today, and that is exactly what the movie wants to show. The phrase you think you know who you are. The movie shows a lot of examples of stereotypes that gives us a vision of real life. In every level of society it happens. To exemplify, in the movie, when Daniel, the locksmith, was changing the locks on Jeans house, she states to her economize to replace the lock again because Daniel has tattoos, a shaved head, and she does non like the way he wears his pants.
Because of that she thinks he is a criminal, and he probably is going to make another copy of the keys for himself. I believe that this is a very clear example of stereotyping because in the movie Daniel is a young father who works heavy and takes care of his daughter teaching her good values.
