The ethnic group that I belong to and chose to write about(predicate) is the Italians. The Italians emigrated here from Italy between the years of 1880 and 1924. in that location was a peachy deal of poverty and famine that was wide spread throughout southern Italy. The times were so dire that even the basis was so bad that no food would even grow. There was malnutrition and diseases that were spreading fast. When the Italians immigrated to America they usually stuck together depending on what neighborhood of Italy they came from. The Northern Italians stayed in California, the Sicilians stayed in New Orleans, the main assimilation of Italians resided in New York and Pennsylvania. In 1920 almost one quaternary of the Italian American population resided in New York and the tranquility of the population was spread the rest of the way. According to the U.S. census 16 million Italians now live in the United States.
