Introduction
It con not be denied that since the Second World War, politics in Europe stand been characterized by the matter of a new political entity called the European compact. With forth doubt, the EU has gradually become a signifi tint fixings in the relations among states and in the domestic affairs of states. Now, it can be said that we live in a European and cosmopolitan world and todays European unification is unique.
It was not easy for Europe to unite especially after two world wars, economic difficulties, countless millions dead; scarce the desire of putting an end to that cruel struggle, to achieve economic political development and integration, and to provide with collective peace as well as supranational association were rooted the emergence of the European Union.



However, the EU today is an economic giant, political spring, tries to stool a better world, sustainable peace and economic strengths, and prosperity.
In my essay, I will illuminate how effective the European Union as a global power in the world. In doing so, I will briefly mention what the EU is. I will then refer to the significance of Common exotic and Security Policy and the enlargement especially the latest one. In the mean time, I will briefly evaluate the EU s relations with the major world power the USA. Having mentioned the power of the EU in the world, I will focus on the EU - Russia relations and its affect on the EU s power in the world, and finally conclude my writing.
