Their decision to move placed us in the southwest suburbs where we would encounter masses who did not unceasingly take care like us. This lead to us having two positive and prejudicious experiences when it came to our race and the community. However, the positive always outweighed the negative. My parents mat that it was important for us to be raised in a community that had a diverse population.

They did not want to stunt our growth by raising us in a community where everyone looked the same, be seduced the same, or had the same beliefs. Instead, they wanted us to grow up having an open mind. My parents wanted us to be evaluate of all races and cul tures. They wanted us to be to look upon ! heap as individuals and hazard them as such. Now that I have children of my own, I can really see and appreciate the brilliance of teaching your children to be accepting of others. I am presently raising my family in the Southwest Suburb of Woodridge, Illinois. This is a beautiful suburb in which to choose to raise a family.
