Introduction:
How testament tap water and mineral water affect the germination and the harvest-home of herbs? Mineral water is water from an underground source that contains at least 250 parts per million total dissolved solids (Bullers). I also think that tap water will have a detrimental effect on both the germination and the growth of the plants. In this prove, I will use Evian bottled water and tap water to test the growth and germination and growth of basil, parsley, and schnittlaugh over a four-week period.
Methods and Materials:
The materials used for conducting the experiment include the following: six terra cotta pots, 6 soil pellets, metric ruler, chives seeds, parsley seeds, basil seeds, tap water and Evian mineral water. First, I label severally terra cotta pot accordingly (each herb was labeled either B for bottled water or T for tap water. Then, I put a soil pellet in the bottom of each pot. The soil pellets use 2 tablespoons of water to expand.
